Man Plans; God Laughs: The Adventure Begins...

After having left Stuart’s house on time we were suddenly thrown into problem solving mode as our bus lost power on the New Jersey Turnpike. Fortunately it happened right in front of the Woodrow Wilson rest stop, exit 7A, mile marker 58.7. Thank God for Blackberrys, cell phones and pushy business guys and lawyers who were able to get not one, but three different car companies on their way to save us. While we were waiting, we visited Starbucks, of course, gotta have that coffee! An hour later we’re on our way again to JFK and El Al security; God willing without further delay. Hopefully this will be the toughest piece of adversity we will encounter.

Yes. Quite a start! Yesterday, Penny and I were driving to Funeral in Norh Jersey. As we were driving north on the NJ Turnpike, we noticed a broken down bus, a group of people and their belongings standing onthe side of the road! I screamed to Penny that is the Rabi and the group. I called Rabbi and asked if he was by the rest stop. Since I could only hear the roar of traffic, our observations were confirmed. We were told another bus was on the way. We could have offered to go back, but our car would have been only able to take two maybe three people and no bikes. This would have required a Solomon like decision...So we kept driving!!

Have a wonderful and safe trip.
